About the position

The Associate, Renewables Asset Management position at Invenergy is a critical role that combines finance and operations to support the management of renewable energy projects. The successful candidate will assist in developing annual budgets for various projects, ensuring that financial planning aligns with the company's strategic goals. This role involves performing periodic variance analyses to track financial performance against the budget, providing insights that will help guide decision-making processes. Additionally, the associate will be responsible for reviewing and providing input on pro-forma financial models for generation assets, which are essential for understanding the financial viability of projects. In this position, the associate will also author reports on project performance for investors and lenders, ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed about the financial health and operational efficiency of the projects. Cash flow forecasting and management will be a key responsibility, requiring the associate to analyze cash flow trends and make recommendations for optimizing financial performance. The role will also involve conducting financial analyses of aftermarket improvements, identifying opportunities for enhancing project profitability. On the operations side, the associate will collaborate closely with the operations engineering team to evaluate and improve operational performance. This collaboration is vital for ensuring that the projects not only meet financial targets but also operate efficiently and effectively. The associate will be expected to develop other ad-hoc analyses as needed, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to the evolving needs of the business.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field

  • Familiarity with renewable energy projects is a plus
