About the position

The Associate Research Analyst position at the Office of Policy and Management (OPM) in Connecticut is a full-time role focused on leveraging data and analytics to inform state policies and programs. The analyst will work within the Data and Policy Analytics Division (DAPA) and will be involved in projects related to data collection, analysis, and dissemination, particularly for the P20 WIN system. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to significant state initiatives and support individuals in navigating educational and workforce pathways.

Responsibilities

• Leverage data and analytics to solve state challenges.
• Contribute to projects involving data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
• Lead design and analysis of data to inform policies.
• Work closely with P20 WIN agencies to further the learning agenda.
• Engage in open data, data integration, and analytics projects.
• Learn primary data sources and systems at agencies.
• Understand privacy, security, and confidentiality considerations for state data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as data analysis, public policy, or statistics.
• Experience with data analysis and statistical methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly.
