About the position

The Associate Research Analyst position at Deltek involves supporting the data collection, research, and analysis of public sector content, particularly in the federal government contracting market. The role requires superior research capabilities and a commitment to excellence, focusing on government contracting activities associated with various departments. The analyst will work collaboratively with a team to provide insights and recommendations that enhance Deltek's information solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide research, analysis, writing, and editing support to a team of Analysts.
  • Identify, investigate, and draft reports on government contract activities, such as planned procurements.
  • Conduct research and use knowledge of government procurement processes to update content collected in Deltek's information solutions.
  • Organize, analyze, and synthesize data and information using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other internal content management tools.
  • Participate in formal quality assurance reviews to ensure maintained delivery of data quality.
  • Interact with and interview Government officials orally and in written correspondence to gather information and insights.
  • Contribute to product planning, product enhancements, and recommend improvements.
  • Stay abreast of public sector procurement, contracting, and policy trends within area of focus.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality and timely responses to customer research inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business development or public sector administration; advanced degree preferred.
  • Excellent computer and Internet skills including Microsoft Office and Internet research.
  • Knowledge within the Public Sector contracting marketplace highly desirable, preferably in procurement or business development.
  • Excellent client and personal relationship skills; team player with a pleasant attitude.
  • Capable of independently managing time and tasks to accomplish content and product objectives.
  • Some familiarity with public policy issues and a keen professional interest in the business of government.
