About the position

The Technical Associate - Research & Development role at Kyyba Inc. involves hands-on laboratory work focused on panel and wafer-level processing techniques within a fast-paced environment. The position requires creative problem-solving and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support various prototyping and optimization initiatives. The associate will be responsible for executing project workflows and maintaining safety and product integrity throughout the research process.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on panel and wafer-level processing techniques, exploring advanced/non-standard methods for unique applications.
  • Execute project workflows including laminations, coatings, lithography, and cure techniques, as well as thermal and mechanical analysis.
  • Support prototyping and optimization development initiatives relevant to strategic goals.
  • Create and maintain relationships with internal analytical collaborators for data collection and analysis.
  • Communicate research findings clearly to team members of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Work effectively on cross-functional and global teams, including interactions with Asia-based customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a technical or scientific field.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on industrial experience in semiconductor fabrication or a similar environment.
  • Familiarity with material characterization, wafer-level metrology, and/or thin film analysis.
  • Experience with thermal and mechanical analysis tools and techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous industrial wet lab experience in formulation, film casting, and lamination.
  • Hands-on fab experience, including wafer handling, coating, lithography, and metrology.
  • Expertise with a diverse range of analytical equipment including chemical, mechanical, and thermal analysis tools.
  • Experience with applications testing for quality control and reliability testing for material process qualification.
