About the position

The Department of Chemistry at Yale University is seeking a PhD-level scientist to serve as the Director of its Catalysis and Separations Core. This role focuses on overseeing the operation and maintenance of various advanced instrumentation used in synthetic chemistry research, particularly in homogeneous catalysis. The Director will also assist early career researchers in conducting experiments and managing the Core's budget and user fees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of Core instrumentation.
• Assist early career researchers with performing experiments in the Core.
• Manage the Core budget and user fees.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry or a related field.
• Experience with instrumentation for synthetic chemistry, particularly in homogeneous catalysis.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with UPLC, LC, LCMS, SFC, and GC instrumentation.
• Familiarity with high throughput experimentation techniques.
