About the position

The Executive Director of NeuroTech Harbor (NTH) at Johns Hopkins University is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the core functions and operations of the Neurotech Incubator program. This position requires a proactive and organized individual who will collaborate with Principal Investigators and engage with NIH leadership to ensure the successful execution of the program's objectives. The Executive Director will also play a key role in grant writing, fundraising, and building a sustainable NeuroTech ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Attend all core weekly meetings and monthly quarterly reviews.
• Partner with NTH Principal Investigators from JHU and Howard University.
• Understand and refine processes and policies within the BluePrint program.
• Conduct analyses and contribute to ongoing analytic deliverables.
• Support planning of qualitative and quantitative data collection activities.
• Engage with NIH leadership to provide updates and discuss processes.
• Lead the writing of the grant's renewal with NTH leadership support.
• Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Initiatives on outreach and sustainability efforts.

Requirements

• PhD in Neuroscience, Neuroengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or an MD with Neurology or Neurosurgery specialization.
• Prior leadership experience in research centers.
• Experience with proposal grant writing to NIH and/or federal sponsors.
• Excellent communication skills and timely responsiveness.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
• Experience in Microsoft Office tools.

• Comfort engaging with diverse teams on projects related to human rights and marginalized populations.
• Interest in MedTech research and commercialization of research activities.
