About the position

The Executive Director of NeuroTech Harbor (NTH) at Johns Hopkins University is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the core functions and operations of the Neurotech Incubator program. This position requires collaboration with Principal Investigators and NIH leadership, as well as engagement in strategic initiatives to build a sustainable NeuroTech ecosystem. The Executive Director will also lead grant writing efforts and contribute to analytic deliverables that demonstrate the performance of NTH's core functions.

Responsibilities

  • Attend all core weekly meetings and monthly quarterly reviews.
  • Partner with NTH Principal Investigators from JHU and Howard University.
  • Understand core functions within the BluePrint program and engage in process development.
  • Conduct analyses as identified by the investigative team and contribute to analytic deliverables.
  • Support planning of qualitative and quantitative data collection activities.
  • Work closely with NTH's Co-Investigator and team members to complete analyses.
  • Meet with NIH leadership to provide updates and engage in discussions.
  • Lead the writing of the grant's renewal with support from NTH leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Initiatives on building a NeuroTech ecosystem.

Requirements

  • PhD in Neuroscience, Neuroengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or an MD with Neurology or Neurosurgery specialization.
  • Prior leadership experience in research centers.
  • Experience with proposal grant writing to NIH and/or federal sponsors.
  • Excellent communication skills and timely responsiveness.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Demonstrated self-management with the ability to work on multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office tools.
