Northeastern University invites applications for an Associate Research Scientist position in the fields of Computational Medicine and Biomedical Data Science, located at Northeastern's Roux Institute, in Portland, Maine. If you hold a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Computational Medicine, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline, and have a profound expertise in AI/Deep Learning applications within healthcare contexts, we invite you to join our dynamic team. This position will be within the Life Sciences and Medical Research vertical of the Roux Institute and will be jointly supervised by Professor Raimond Winslow, PhD - Director of Life Sciences and Medical Research at The Roux and Professor of Bioengineering, Computer Science, and Clinical and Rehabilitation Sciences at Northeastern University, and Dr. Qingchu Jin, Research Scientist at the Roux Institute. The successful applicant will contribute to research projects underway with multiple clinical investigative teams at the MaineHealth (MH) Maine Medical Center (MMC). MH is a not-for-profit integrated health system consisting of nine local health systems that is the largest provider in Maine. Approximately 22,000 MH employees are committed to providing high value health care to the 1.3M residents in Maine and northern New England. This unique position, developed in partnership between investigators at the Roux Institute and MH, will provide access to diverse and innovative research environments, mentorship and career development opportunities, and state-of-the-art facilities, equipment, and technology at both institutions.
