About the position
The Associate Restaurant Manager (ARM) at Taco Bell serves as the assistant to the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) and provides management coverage during operating hours. The ARM is responsible for driving customer service excellence, maintaining company standards, supervising food handling procedures, and ensuring financial control to meet profit margin targets. This role involves hands-on operational duties, training employees, and addressing customer service needs, with the expectation of being promotable to RGM within a year and a half.
Responsibilities
- Drive excellence in customer service and maintain company standards in product and facility specifications.
- Supervise food handling procedures and operational processes.
- Exercise financial control to meet restaurant profit margin targets.
- Train and mentor subordinates on financial analyses and profitability tips for the restaurant.
- Ensure food safety standards are met and monitor inventory and food preparation daily.
- Direct all restaurant level HR activities including hiring, performance management, and employee relations.
- Develop and monitor staffing plans and direct crew sourcing activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Supervisory experience in a food service or retail environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain financial controls and coach hourly employees.
- Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction, financial performance, and employee satisfaction.
