About the position

The Associate Revenue Requirements Analyst plays a crucial role in reconciling revenues and costs for regulatory-approved tracking mechanisms and preparing retail regulatory filings for the Eversource System. This hybrid position requires full-time office presence for the first three months, followed by a flexible work arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Compile accounting information related to revenue requirement projects and assignments.
  • Prepare accounting information for gas and electric filings, including rate case filings, storm cost expense filings, capital cost recovery filings, and annual reconciliation filings.
  • Handle customer crisis and urgent problem resolution promptly as situations arise.
  • Participate in business group project teams as directed.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and legislation pertinent to the business area.
  • Keep the Manager informed of issues, impediments, and progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a closely-related discipline required.
  • One (1) plus years of related experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting theory and practices.
  • Ability to work in an environment requiring the application of generally accepted accounting and economic principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data and extract relevant factors.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skill with MS Office Applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of deferred accounting principles for trackers.
  • Understanding of concepts related to rate base and operating income as they pertain to the Companies' ROE.
  • Experience in the application of revenue requirements theory and applicable regulations pertaining to Eversource tracking mechanisms.
