About the position

The Associate RF Engineer at Stellant Systems is responsible for solving engineering problems throughout various phases of product development and manufacturing support. This role involves the analysis, design, development, and testing of RF devices and systems, requiring a blend of technical skills and creativity to address engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Investigates and conducts studies on specifications and requirements of the project.
  • Performs original RF circuit design and analysis.
  • Supplies technical assistance and coordination to designers and staff assigned to the project.
  • Provides direction to the Engineering Technician and Associate Engineer during breadboarding, wiring, debugging, and testing.
  • Designs and plans wiring layouts and schematics.
  • Plans tests to be conducted and arranges the test setup.
  • Checks performance of devices during tests and evaluates the results.
  • Provides technical assistance in the preparation of spare parts lists, special tools, test equipment, and other engineering data.
  • Specifies the procurement of specialized components and test equipment.
  • May participate in field tests and other travel duties.
  • Assists in preparation of bids and proposals.
  • Uses PC-based Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) programs of moderate complexity.
  • Maintains a positive work environment through professional and courteous conduct and communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
  • 0 to 3 years of RF Microwave Engineering experience in design, development, analysis, and investigation of electronic devices and systems required.
  • Experience writing technical specifications and other technical documents.
  • Proficiency in Costpoint, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with modeling and simulating circuits.
  • Experience in optimizing new conceptual circuits and evaluating, testing, tuning, and modifying circuits to meet specifications.
  • Experience in amplifier design using both packaged components and bare die.
