About the position

The Associate Sales Executive role at Thomson Reuters involves prospecting new customers and closing sales within a designated geography or resource group. The position focuses on new logo acquisition and upselling existing customers, utilizing Tax & Accounting products. The role requires collaboration with internal resources to advance and close sales cycles, while contributing positively to the company culture.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect new customers and close sales for assigned geography or leads.
  • Demonstrate the use of Tax & Accounting products to customers.
  • Validate customer needs and shape product plans to drive deals to close.
  • Support in developing and executing territory growth strategies.
  • Focus on new logo acquisition and mid-contract upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Engage Sales Specialists for deep product expertise when necessary.
  • Understand specific customer archetypes and needs within the subsegment and territory.
  • Use Salesforce workflow to progress deals and nurture opportunities.
  • Work with internal resources to lead, advance, and close sales cycles.
  • Contribute positively to the company culture and team dynamic.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience in an Account Executive role with a proven track record of quota attainment.
  • Experience in Software as a Service (SaaS) sales is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of sales concepts, methods, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for client meetings.
  • Strong prospecting and closing skills.
  • Ability to win new customers and cross-sell/upsell existing customers.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ambitious self-starter with high energy and motivation.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
  • Continuous learner with a positive attitude and high level of integrity.
