About the position

The Associate Sales Manager at Tesla is a leadership role focused on driving sales performance and enhancing customer experience in a retail environment. This position involves collaborating with the Store Leader to recruit, train, and develop a dynamic store team, while also analyzing sales performance and identifying local market events to boost brand exposure. Success in this role is measured by achieving store sales targets and maintaining smooth operations, emphasizing teamwork and individual contributions to Tesla's mission of sustainable energy.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to align on business needs and strategies, demonstrating sales leadership through active floor presence and role modeling.
  • Ensure all employees deliver a top-tier customer experience, proactively addressing and resolving any concerns related to vehicle quality and preparation.
  • Recruit, train, and develop management and staff, maintaining prompt position fulfillment and providing ongoing performance evaluation.
  • Uphold brand standards through facility maintenance, showroom presentation, and cost control, ensuring compliance with Tesla's dress code and grooming guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 2+ years applicable experience in sales or management.
  • Proven track record to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Exceptional management skills with great attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a dedicated and ethical approach to sales operations.
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships and act as a trusted partner.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Motor Vehicle Salesperson License issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles (required for certain states).
  • Notary license preferred, with assistance provided by Tesla if needed.
