About the position

The Associate Sales Representative for Interventional Therapies at Medtronic is responsible for soliciting orders and selling Medtronic's Interventional products within a designated territory. This role involves maintaining awareness of local competitive conditions, generating new sales, managing accounts, and implementing marketing strategies. The position requires collaboration with an Interventional Therapy Consultant and entails a significant amount of fieldwork, necessitating a valid driver's license and the ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new sales by developing leads and making sales calls.
  • Grow existing Interventional business and develop new opportunities.
  • Work with minimal supervision to generate revenue and meet/exceed sales quotas.
  • Manage accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Implement approved marketing strategies to attract new customers.
  • Respond to customer complaints and keep the District Sales Manager informed of any issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records as per District Sales Manager instructions.
  • Identify selling opportunities and collaborate with sales representatives to increase sales.
  • Complete all required product and sales training curriculum.
  • Prepare and submit call reports as required by the District Sales Manager.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed.
  • Create and implement an annual business plan with quarterly updates.
  • Provide service to customers based on their individual needs.
  • Adhere to company policies and conduct all business ethically.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in Orthopedics, Spine, or Operating Room (O.R.) settings is preferred.
  • Ability to sell in an environment where partnering with a surgeon is critical.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and ability to explain it effectively after training.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability.
