About the position

The Associate Sales Representative for Interventional Therapies at Medtronic is responsible for soliciting orders and selling Medtronic Interventional products within a designated territory. This role involves maintaining awareness of local competitive conditions, generating new sales, managing accounts, and implementing marketing strategies. The position requires collaboration with an Interventional Therapy Consultant II and entails field-based responsibilities, including customer service and reporting to the District Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new sales by developing leads and making sales calls.
  • Grow existing Interventional business and develop new opportunities.
  • Manage accounts in the assigned territory and implement approved marketing strategies.
  • Respond to customer complaints and keep the District Sales Manager informed of any significant issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records and identify selling opportunities.
  • Complete all required product and sales training curriculum.
  • Prepare and submit call reports as required by the District Sales Manager.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed.
  • Create and implement an annual business plan with quarterly updates.
  • Provide service to customers per their individual needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • OR experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Orthopedics, Spine, or Operating Room (O.R.)
  • Ability to sell in an environment where partnering with a surgeon is critical
  • Knowledge of anatomy related to Interventional products
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
  • Accustomed to working independently with high accountability.
