About the position

You will have overall responsibility to ensure sanitation standards implemented at the site are in compliance with regulatory and internal Campbell's standards. They will lead, manage, and develop the sanitation and pest control programs/systems/procedures/databases for the facility. The position has specific responsibility to standardize and continually improve sanitation, pest control, and related systems support for the facility. The position will manage matrix relationships within facility Quality, Production and Supply Chain, and influence senior management on aligning strategies, annual objectives, and project plans. Individual will develop, coordinate, and deploy Quality Sanitation management strategies within the facility's functional areas. This includes overall key Food Safety/Quality program efforts such as, gap assessments, validation activities, SQF compliance, master sanitation plan, HACCP, and pest control.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continually improve a documented/standardized/comprehensive sanitation (SSOP/SSW) and pest control programs.
  • Select, develop, and supervise a crew of skilled hourly associates, scheduled to cover 24/7 timeframe.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sanitation, to develop functional sanitation objectives and plant metrics.
  • Collaborate with Cross Functional Teams in the communications of, and compliance to Allergen and Sanitation policies, expectations, and requirements.
  • Drive organizational vitality and best practice sharing through staff, work group, training, and development plans.
  • Manage cross-functional matrix relationships with Quality, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
  • Function as a subject matter expert in developing sanitation or pest control strategies for the plant (Wet and Dry Clean Applications).
  • Manage assigned projects and programs to ensure timely results, including coordinating with internal and external department personnel, managing the review and creation of new documents, determining the training needs, and facilitating such training, and maintain metrics associated with EMP, validation, and sanitation.
  • Build relationships with vendors (Chemical, Pest, Janitorial) to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services, tools, and equipment.
  • Direct Plant Services Group Leaders and is responsible for overall performance of hourly employees in Plant Services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, biology, or related field.
  • 2+ years food and beverage manufacturing experience.
  • PCQI, SQF and Pest Control Certifications (required to obtain within 1 year of hire, if do not have)
  • Understanding of Sanitary Design for food manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective abilities in organizing and deductive thinking.
  • Able to communicate at any organizational level.
  • Ability to obtain forklift license.
  • Tactical knowledge and application of food safety principles (ex. Regulatory, PCQI, HACCP, SQF, GMPs, food microbiology).
  • Computer proficiency with Windows-based software applications (Word, Excel, Access), and SAP.
  • Strong technical acumen - ability to troubleshoot a problem, involve other stakeholders as necessary, and brainstorm potential root causes.
  • Effective presentation skills.
