About the position
The Associate Scientist in High-Throughput Purification at Bristol Myers Squibb will provide automation and technology support for a team engaged in non-GLP, high-throughput purification. This role involves close coordination with scientists, instruments, automation, and bespoke software to enhance purification processes. The individual will be responsible for implementing continuous improvement projects and ensuring operational support for various liquid handling and analytical instruments across multiple research sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide automation and technology support for high-throughput purification processes.
- Coordinate with scientists and automation systems to optimize purification workflows.
- Implement continuous improvement projects related to infrastructure, IT, and quality improvements.
- Ensure operational support for liquid handlers, robotics, and analytical instruments.
- Collaborate with functional service providers to maintain lab infrastructure.
- Interface with IT teams and engineers to enhance lab and instrument capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of academic or industry experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proven record of successful project execution.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in troubleshooting workflows and processes.
- Experience in lab automation, computer programming, and data visualization.
Nice-to-haves
- Recent Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of high-throughput environments managing large sample volumes.
- Experience with reverse phase HPLC and SFC for small molecules and peptides.
- Familiarity with mass spectrometry and organic/medicinal chemistry.
