Responsibilities

• Maintains active awareness of local, regional, and national funding priorities.
• Identifies and pursues external sources for research funding to support research programs and initiatives.
• Participates in timely presentation and publication of research and sponsored program results and findings.
• Manages and oversees ongoing research projects.
• Ensures research adheres to specified protocols and complies with Institutional Review Board policies.
• Engages in direct mentorship of junior investigators, students, personnel, and staff.
• Serves in an advisory and educator capacity to guide training and professional development.
• Builds and maintains good relationships with research collaborators and colleagues.
• Supervises research staff.
• Works collaboratively with SPARO.
• Maintains all research investigator training and requirements.

Requirements

• Doctorate Degree (MD, PhD, PsyD, PharmD, EdD or other doctoral level degree in health-related field) required.
• 5 years of directly related experience in grant application, statistics, data analysis, program evaluation, and scientific writing.
