About the position

As an Associate Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will play a critical role in driving our growth by identifying and qualifying potential customers. You will be the first point of contact for prospects and will help build a pipeline of qualified leads for our sales team. This is an entry-level position with significant growth opportunities for motivated individuals who are eager to start a career in sales. Your primary focus will be on lead generation, prospect outreach, qualification of leads, appointment setting, and maintaining accurate records in our CRM system. You will collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies and improve lead generation efforts. This role is essential for meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation and qualified meetings, contributing directly to the success of our sales organization.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential customers through various channels, including social media, web research, and industry events.
  • Initiate contact with potential customers via phone, email, and social media to introduce Sage's products and services.
  • Assess the needs and challenges of potential customers to determine if they are a good fit for our solutions.
  • Schedule meetings and product demos for the sales team with qualified prospects.
  • Accurately record and manage all interactions and activities in the CRM system to ensure up-to-date and comprehensive data.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align on strategies and improve lead generation efforts.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation and qualified meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and engage with potential customers.
  • High level of self-motivation and a strong desire to succeed in a sales role.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior experience in sales, customer service, or related roles is a plus but not required.
