About the position

The Associate Set Team Lead position at P.L. Marketing involves overseeing and assisting in large-scale reset projects for Kroger stores in the Atlanta Division. This role is crucial for ensuring that merchandising standards are met while providing support and training to team members. The position requires a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and effective communication, as well as the ability to adapt to various tasks and challenges in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisors and managers with coaching and retraining current employees as needed.
• Assist team leader(s) in recognizing safe work practices by team members and coaching team members on safe ways to perform a task.
• Assist team leader(s) with completion of safety audits.
• Onboard new employees by going over policies and procedures.
• Assist new and current employees with minor technical support such as resetting passwords and access and usage of internal systems.
• Educate new hires on how to safely do the job and ensure the safety of other team members, Kroger employees, and Kroger customers.
• Train new hires on how to implement resets.
• Follow up with new hires on a regular basis to provide coaching, feedback, and additional training as needed.
• Direct temporary/part-time workers when needed.
• Work independently to execute category/aisle set plan.
• Demonstrate a high level of teamwork when interacting with Kroger, National Food Brokers, and other P.L. Marketing employees.
• Apply strong merchandising skills and ability to read, understand and implement planograms per Kroger merchandising standards.
• Operate Kroger equipment in a 'safety first' manner.
• Consistently communicate merchandising opportunities to supervisor.
• Provide customer assistance.

Requirements

• Must live within 45 minutes/miles of Atlanta, GA.
• Must be at least 18 YEARS OLD or older.
• Must have VALID DRIVERS LICENSE.
• Must have PERSONAL TRANSPORTATION.
• Must be willing to TRAVEL 50% including overnight travel.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Communicate (read, write, and speak) fluent English.
• Read, understand, and implement plan-o-grams.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Computer/internet access with knowledge of email and web-based applications.
• Adapt to advancing technology and computer solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
• Qualify as an insurable driver with excellent driving record.
• Highly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
