About the position

As an Associate Software Developer at ENGIE's North America's Global Energy Management & Supply (GEMS) Group in Houston, Texas, you will collaborate with a software development team to design and develop web and cloud-based applications utilizing the Microsoft .NET framework and Azure platform. This role focuses on transforming systems and processes through the implementation of the latest digital technologies, reporting directly to the Director of Solutions Development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web and cloud-based applications using the Microsoft .NET framework and Azure platform.
• Assist in meeting the team's transformation goals by implementing redesigned systems and processes.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications as needed.
• Conduct code reviews based on defined coding standards and contribute to the establishment of coding standards.
• Coordinate with product owners, architects, and system owners in testing new features.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or MIS curriculum, or a minimum of four years of relevant experience in software development.
• At least two years of experience with C# and .NET frameworks in a professional setting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Understanding of Azure services such as Azure App Services, Azure SQL, and Azure Storage.
• Knowledge of Git or other version control systems.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug applications.
