About the position
The Associate Software Engineer at L3Harris is responsible for developing software solutions that enhance national security through advanced technology. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test embedded software for tactical radio equipment, ensuring operational performance and adherence to requirements throughout the software development life cycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop software for target applications using computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate interfaces between hardware and software.
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
- Create software test procedures, programs, and documentation.
- Utilize modeling tools to establish operating data and conduct experimental tests.
- Participate in peer reviews and track and repair defects.
- Use various programming languages on multiple platforms, including Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences or related field.
- GPA of 3.0 or greater.

- Experience with programming languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, JEE, HTML5, XML, SQL, Qt, and familiarity with Windows, .NET, Unix, Linux, SOA, RTOS, Real-Time Controls, Wireless, Software Security, Robotics, OOA/OOD, Hadoop, Android, and Embedded Systems.
