About the position

The Associate Software Engineer (Testing & Automation) position at Northrop Grumman involves designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging automated test software and systems. The role requires collaboration with systems and hardware engineers to ensure software standards are met and to resolve problems related to program intent and output requirements. This position is part of the Command and Control, Communication and Computer Missile Defense (C4MD) Business Unit, and is crucial for supporting various defense programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug automated test software and systems.
• Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with systems and hardware engineers.
• Determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve problems.
• Prepare operating instructions and ensure software standards are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent experience.
• Experience with test automation tools and procedures.
• Experience with scripting.
• Experience with Linux.
• Understanding of all phases of software development and practical experience in an Agile/DevOps environment.
• Must be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance.
