About the position

As a Senior Software Engineer at Arrive Logistics, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our technology-driven freight brokerage solutions. This position involves collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to create innovative solutions that meet the needs of both internal and external customers. You will be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, from development to deployment and monitoring, ensuring high-quality products that drive the company's growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions that drive Arrive to be a top freight brokerage.
• Own the development, testing, deployment, and monitoring of your code.
• Communicate clearly about your status and blockers, making steady progress.
• Develop self-sufficiency in at least one large area of the codebase and provide on-call support.
• Solicit feedback and seek ways to improve processes and solutions.
• Collaborate across teams to build comprehensive solutions.
• Commit to automation and testing to enable quick iterations.
• Participate in guild talks and standards discussions to drive the organization forward.
• Deeply understand our product, users, and mission to expand your industry expertise.
• Practice quality documentation to ensure codebases are comprehensive for team use.
• Ensure high-quality products by completing test coverage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in software development preferred.
• Knowledge of core Computer Science fundamentals and engineering best practices.
• Basic understanding of system design and a passion for problem-solving.
• Ability to collaboratively solve unique and complex issues.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud services and deployment processes.
• Knowledge of modern programming languages and frameworks.
