About the position

The Associate Solution Engineer at Appian is a technical role focused on understanding and supporting the Appian platform. Responsibilities

  • Become an expert on the inner workings of the Appian platform.
  • Provide exceptional, world-class support to customers and stakeholders globally.
  • Tackle technical challenges and communicate effectively across various departments.
  • Work closely with customers to improve the platform's availability, performance, functionality, and security.
  • Engage in data analytics and support programming/scripting tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in finding solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for customer support.
  • Interest in software development without a focus on coding all day.
  • Desire to work closely with customers for continual improvement.
  • Interest or experience in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, PHP).
  • Interest or experience with RDBMS platforms (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Interest or experience in systems administration (e.g., Linux, Windows).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with customer support in a technical environment.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques.
