About the position

The Associate Solutions Engineer (SE) at T-Mobile plays a crucial role in partnering with the Business Sales team to sell T-Mobile for Business products and services. This position requires a strong technical background, industry knowledge, and the ability to engage in pre-sales activities. The SE will consult with customers to understand their business challenges and develop tailored solutions that meet their needs. This involves architecting and designing solutions using T-Mobile or partner business solutions, equipment, and network capabilities. The SE will also provide technical support during sales presentations and product demonstrations, addressing any technical inquiries from customers. In addition to pre-sales activities, the SE will support Business Sales by reviewing specific customer opportunities and sales funnels. They will keep the Business Sales teams informed about relevant technologies and industry trends, and collaborate with various internal teams such as Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales Ops, and Care to provide feedback and support special projects. Continuous professional development is essential, and SEs are expected to maintain their technical skills and industry expertise through training and certification. The Wireless Solutions Engineer (Wireless SE) will have a deep understanding of T-Mobile's wireless network and related technologies, including wireless handsets, mobile hotspots, tablets, and other key devices. They will facilitate wireless network coverage analysis, assist with In-Building Coverage requests, and present product roadmaps and network build-out plans as needed. Post-sale, the SE will ensure a positive customer experience by providing high-level support and troubleshooting, training sales teams on technical topics, and conducting customer training sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Aligns to support an SLED & Government sales team in-market.
  • Participate in customer meetings, primarily face to face.
  • Facilitate coverage analysis and review with customers.
  • Discuss and assist with processing In-Building coverage requests.
  • Uncover opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Understanding nuances and drivers.
  • Design and architect services and solutions.
  • Close technical hurdles.
  • Prepare and present technical customer presentations.
  • Present product roadmaps.
  • Present network build-out plans.
  • Demonstrate wireless devices and solutions to customers.
  • Provide RFP technical input.
  • Strategize with Sales team to improve Regional/National sales.
  • Participate in account reviews with customers.
  • Own customer technical relationships.
  • Supports customer pilots.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Assist with high-level support and troubleshooting.
  • Open tickets and engage appropriate support resources.
  • Train Sales on technical topics, product updates, Tech Talks.
  • Conduct customer trainings.
  • Lead product/network/marketing road-show webinars.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM area of study strongly preferred (Required)
  • 2-4 years of experience in telecommunications, IT administration, or network engineering roles with a professional track record of successful solution sales, managing internal/external relationships in a matrix environment (Required)
  • Technical Leadership (Required)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills (Required)
  • Proficiency with business application software (Required)
  • Ability to provide strategic direction in a leadership role (Required)
  • Ability to create and deliver technical presentations (Required)
