About the position

The Associate Solutions Engineer will primarily support the Midwest region of the US, working from home and traveling to customer locations as needed. This role involves providing on-site professional services and support to clients utilizing Securitas Healthcare products, particularly in deploying Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS) in the Acute Care Market. The position requires a strong understanding of network connectivity and software configuration troubleshooting, as these skills are essential for effectively assisting clients in their healthcare environments. In this customer-facing role, the employee will represent the company during onsite working hours in a hospital environment. The work will predominantly be performed on a PC, but candidates should be prepared for long hours on their feet. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and commissioning new systems according to company procedures, performing service work at customer sites, and troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing customer equipment as necessary. The role also involves conducting facility site surveys to assess the usability of products, providing training to facility personnel on the operation and maintenance of installed equipment, and completing various administrative duties such as writing facility visit reports and maintaining accurate inventory of equipment. The Associate Solutions Engineer will also attend construction meetings to ensure that installations related to new construction or renovation projects proceed as planned. Flexibility in working hours is required to meet customer needs, and strong customer service skills are essential for effective communication with clients and colleagues. Time management skills are crucial for arriving at sites as scheduled and completing work within the allotted time. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and is willing to take on additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the company during onsite working hours in a hospital environment.
  • Install, configure, and commission new systems by following company procedures and processes.
  • Perform service work at customer sites including troubleshooting, repair, or replacement of customer equipment.
  • Complete facility site surveys to determine usability for products manufactured and/or sold by the Company.
  • Provide training to facility personnel to show the correct operation and maintenance of installed equipment.
  • Perform administrative duties including writing facility visit reports, completing service or post installation checklists, creating and submitting expense reports, and maintaining accurate inventory of equipment and parts on company vehicle.
  • Attend construction meetings when needed to help ensure that installations that are part of a new construction or renovation project go as planned.
  • Work flexible hours according to customer requirements.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction following each project.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience with Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Networking, or related field
  • Valid Driver's License with no restrictions

Nice-to-haves

  • An Associate Degree in Electronics, Networking, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience using test equipment such as Network Cable Testers, Digital Multi-Meters, Spectrum Analyzers, and RF Watt Meters
  • Previous experience with field service work requiring extensive travel
  • Experience with customer solution training

Benefits

  • Salary range of $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 annually, with total compensation including paid time off and benefits.
