About the position

The Associate Sourcing Manager (ASM) for Responsible Sourcing & Production Management at Disney will collaborate with senior management to establish a new organization focused on responsible sourcing and production. This role involves managing the production lifecycle, utilizing manufacturing data to enhance performance, and executing strategies aligned with Disney's sustainability goals. The ASM will work with a diverse team across multiple countries and suppliers to ensure efficient production management and sourcing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage production management and responsible sourcing efforts for multiple categories within a division.
• Work with suppliers to ensure key landmarks are met, including order aggregation and acceptance across all business units.
• Track and report production progress and manage in-season changes to business needs.
• Implement effective handoffs between Development Sourcing and Responsible Sourcing/Production at the time of Purchase Order (PO).
• Communicate vendor timelines and production updates, troubleshooting any shipment issues.
• Evaluate and develop plans for efficiency in monitoring data and communication with partners.
• Prepare standard and ad-hoc reports as requested, including production timelines and status updates.
• Implement and supervise progress on strategic sourcing initiatives, such as Source Country Diversification and Sustainability.
• Evaluate suppliers through the PO/production process and partner with Development Sourcing for long-term strategies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience, preferably in specialty retail or consumer products.
• Exposure to sourcing and production of multiple product categories is preferred.
• Proven track record of effective communication with manufacturers.
• Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple SKUs and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in building credibility and trust with diverse partners.
• Strong communication skills at all levels.
• Focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Product Development, Product Design, Business, or Supply Chain preferred.
