About the position

The Associate Specialist, Project Management within the Global Project and Alliance Management (GPAM) team plays a crucial role in supporting the scheduling and planning for Early Development and Product Development Teams. This position involves building and managing cross-functional plans, ensuring data quality, and identifying schedule risks to facilitate project progression in alignment with the company's mission to improve human health. The role requires collaboration with lead Project Managers and participation in business process improvements, making it essential for the success of various development projects.

Responsibilities

  • Partner effectively with lead Project Managers to accurately represent team strategy and plans in PM enterprise systems.
  • Build, monitor, and analyze development project plans and schedules in accordance with established standards.
  • Support multiple projects across any stage of development, including preclinical and clinical phases.
  • Understand deliverables and interdependencies within the schedule and communicate potential conflicts and constraints.
  • Work with PMs to ensure high data quality in the schedule and account for established scheduling standards.
  • Build new schedules for projects entering the pipeline as needed.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to new colleagues and share scheduling best practices.
  • Participate in pilots for new tools and processes and build relationships with colleagues across departments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Exposure to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industries and product development.
  • Coursework or training in project management.
  • Familiarity with project planning technology such as Microsoft Project and Excel.
  • Experience in data analytics and reporting.
