About the position

The Associate Sponsored Research Analyst position at Emory University is focused on providing support to faculty and staff in the preparation and management of contractual awards. This role involves reviewing proposals, processing contract amendments, and ensuring compliance with institutional requirements. The analyst will also assist in educational initiatives and maintain accurate records within the contracts database, contributing to the overall efficiency of the Office of Sponsored Programs.

Responsibilities

• Assists faculty and staff in preparing and routing proposals for contractual awards.
• Reviews and processes requests for extensions of contractual awards.
• Assists Senior Analysts in reviewing and processing standard contract award amendments.
• Interacts with sponsors, faculty, and staff to resolve general matters regarding contractual awards.
• Reviews basic contract terms/conditions and seeks guidance from supervisors as needed.
• Assists Senior Analysts in follow-up activities and related correspondence for pending contractual awards.
• Prepares Notice of Award Acceptance documents with Senior Analysts' assistance.
• Responds to sponsor, faculty, or staff requests for additional information and/or clarification.
• Coordinates obtaining required approvals or certifications from appropriate organizational committees.
• Maintains required records and updates data in the contracts database for accurate reporting.
• Assists in organizing and conducting educational seminars/workshops for faculty and staff.
• Performs related responsibilities as required, including special projects assigned by directors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business management, applied science, or a related field.
• Two years of related experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
