About the position

The Associate Sponsored Research Analyst (Contracts) position at Emory University is focused on providing support to faculty and staff in the preparation and management of contractual awards. This role involves reviewing proposals, processing contract amendments, and ensuring compliance with institutional requirements. The analyst will also assist in educational initiatives and maintain accurate records within the contracts database.

Responsibilities

  • Assists faculty and staff in preparing and routing proposals for contractual awards.
  • Reviews and processes requests for extensions of contractual awards.
  • Assists Senior Analysts in reviewing and processing standard contract award amendments.
  • Interacts with sponsors, faculty, and staff to resolve general matters regarding contractual awards.
  • Reviews basic contract terms/conditions and seeks guidance from supervisors as needed.
  • Assists Senior Analysts in follow-up activities and related correspondence for pending contractual awards.
  • Prepares Notice of Award Acceptance documents with Senior Analysts.
  • Responds to requests for additional information and/or clarification from sponsors, faculty, or staff.
  • Coordinates obtaining required approvals or certifications from appropriate organizational committees.
  • Maintains required records related to contractual awards.
  • Updates data in the contracts database for accurate reporting.
  • Organizes and conducts educational seminars/workshops for faculty and staff.
  • Performs related responsibilities and special projects as assigned by directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, applied science, or a related field.
  • Two years of related experience.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Customer service skills.
