The Associate, Strategic Initiatives position at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is designed to support the identification and execution of strategies that enhance efficiency, service quality, and overall performance across the MTA family. The Associate will also support interdepartmental and interagency working groups to execute projects that are essential for reshaping the MTA into a more innovative and cost-effective agency. Notable projects may include the OMNY as Mobility as a Service Platform project, which involves significant quantitative and process design components. The Associate will primarily focus on the quantitative and analytical aspects of each project, conducting research and project management to inform critical decisions that impact the MTA's cost structure and productivity. The position requires excellent quantitative, analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in Excel modeling. Strong communication skills are essential, as the Associate will need to convey complex quantitative concepts clearly to internal stakeholders.
