About The Position

The Associate Strategy Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the Foundation Strategy Office by developing and implementing strategies that align with the foundation's mission to combat poverty, disease, and inequity globally. This position involves conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses, synthesizing insights, and managing client relationships to drive impactful initiatives across various domains such as Global Education, Gender Equality, and more.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in strategic planning and consulting.
  • Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm.
  • Deep knowledge of and strengths in strategy development and end-to-end sophisticated project management.
  • Ability to work with sensitivity across barriers such as language, culture, and distance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a proven track record of conveying information using supporting tables, graphs, and other visual representations.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Stat, or similar software.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Employ strategic resources to develop and assess options, ensuring sound reasoning and challenging assumptions.
  • Liaise closely with internal clients to co-develop and test strategy concepts and facilitate organizational change.
  • Support the implementation of creative solutions to guide strategic decisions, team operations, and ways of working.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of research and analytical methodologies to support decision-making.
  • Support (Sr.) Strategy Officers with the day-to-day ownership of the strategic process and mobilization of discrete bodies of work.
  • Regularly contribute to team development initiatives such as vision and goal refinement, professional development, training, recruiting, onboarding, team social events, retreats, and foundation-wide activities.
