About the position

The Associate Supply Chain Execution Analyst at Valero is responsible for executing supply chain management strategies and processes related to equipment, materials, and services for refineries. This role serves as a subject matter expert, providing specialized expertise to resolve issues and optimize supply chain operations while ensuring compliance with company policies and maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Supply Chain Management needs and strategies for refineries.
  • Provide specialized expertise in one or more Supply Chain Management areas.
  • Develop and issue RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs for purchasing equipment, materials, and services.
  • Ensure timely delivery of equipment, materials, and services for maintenance and capital projects.
  • Develop strong networks and relationships with suppliers and refinery management.
  • Ensure compliance with Valero's Approved Manufacturers Lists (AMLs) during purchases.
  • Coordinate with other Supply Chain Management employees to maximize value from multi-site agreements.
  • Provide feedback on supplier performance and opportunities for improvements.
  • Assist in resolving supplier performance issues at the refinery.
  • Coordinate efforts with corporate engineering and project execution to minimize total cost of ownership.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related degree preferred.
  • 1 year experience in procurement or Supply Chain Management related to refinery goods and services preferred.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Able and willing to work on-site at the Valero Ardmore Refinery.
