About the position

The Global Endpoint Operations team at Visa is responsible for managing the Endpoint Systems that connect Visa's clients to core systems and services across global data centers. The role involves providing technical support, managing changes, and ensuring high availability of systems while collaborating with various teams to enhance performance and reduce service impacts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice and support to Visa's Client institutions and processors to exceed customer expectations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and reporting of issues and changes.
  • Update and maintain Global Inventory records accurately and timely.
  • Create and test implementation Linux scripts for vendor's field engineers and support teams.
  • Perform remote system installations with on-site vendor engineer support, including configuration and lockdown of Visa Endpoint servers.
  • Work proactively with Global Support groups and vendors to resolve client issues quickly.
  • Timely escalation of critical situations and project risks to management and support teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Visa security guidelines for all server deployments.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with global teams across different cultures and time zones.
  • Work closely with IMAC and Project teams to deliver best-in-class solutions and support to Visa clients.
  • Ensure all incidents and changes comply with ITIL and operational policies.
  • Verify that all servers meet operational acceptance criteria before production deployment.
  • Diagnose problems efficiently by reviewing application and network traces.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 2 or more years of work experience in a related field.
  • 1 year of experience in Linux System Administration or relevant certifications.
  • Experience in IT Operations and Project Delivery.
  • Ability to perform problem isolation and resolution of critical systems.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and dedication to customer experience.
  • Result-oriented with a focus on improving efficiency and productivity.
  • Project coordination and planning experience.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment under minimal supervision.
  • Skills in assessing and analyzing technical situations and providing viable alternatives.
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Basic programming/scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, or Perl.

  • Experience working on a 10/12-hour shift schedule.
