About the position
The Associate Systems Integration Specialist at Abbott is responsible for understanding and managing the integrated set of standards and assemblies necessary for the design and lifecycle management of systems. This role involves applying a collaborative approach to develop and verify systems that meet customer needs and regulatory standards, particularly in the Core Diagnostics Division, which provides critical diagnostic solutions used globally in healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform user needs and system requirements analysis to assist with defining system requirements and specifications.
- Participate in system, software, and hardware design reviews and testing planning reviews to assess performance against design specifications.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues to determine root causes and propose engineering solutions.
- Draft documents, reports, memos, and change requests to develop system requirements using approved procedures and standards.
- Participate in special studies or propose experiments to improve systems engineering practices and define new components or processes.
- Collaborate with various organizations and disciplines to ensure system design accounts for all aspects of the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) related field.
- Experience with system analysis and cross-functional teamwork.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
