About the position
The Associate Tax position at Forvis Mazars is designed for accounting students aiming for CPA eligibility. This full-time role involves working closely with clients across various industries, utilizing critical thinking and social skills to solve problems and build business relationships. Associates will receive coaching from experienced staff and management, gradually taking on more responsibilities as they develop their technical skills and career paths.
Responsibilities
- Working with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
- Preparing individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
- Calculating tax extension or estimating payments
- Participating in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
- Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the state of employment
- Solid technical accounting knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Nice-to-haves
- Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing tax work
