About the position

The Associate in Tax Services at Northrock Partners, LLC is responsible for providing tax advice, tax planning, and tax return preparation to clients. This role is integral to the firm's Personal Office approach, ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction through effective tax strategies and operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare income tax returns and filings.
• Conduct comprehensive tax planning and strategy development.
• Build and maintain income tax planning models.
• Facilitate special projects as needed.
• Continuously improve client service and tax team standards.
• Collaborate with other Associates to enhance processes and operational policies.
• Collect data and documents for assigned clients.
• Interpret client documents to address inquiries.
• Participate in client calls and meetings.
• Create and maintain online files for clients.
• Coordinate special requests and client projects.
• Work with clients' other professionals to resolve requests.
• Ensure service standards are exceeded in client interactions.
• Engage in professional development and training programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in tax law, tax return preparation, or tax filing.
• Experience with automated tax-processing systems (e.g., Prosystem, GoSystem, Ultratax, CCH).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Apple iOS mobile applications.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence and professionalism.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background and credit check.
