The Associate Tax position at FORVIS is designed for accounting students aiming for CPA eligibility, offering a full-time opportunity to engage in tax-related work. Associates will receive coaching from experienced staff and management, allowing them to develop technical skills and take on increasing responsibilities as they progress in their careers.
Responsibilities
- Working with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
- Preparing individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
- Calculating tax extension or estimating payments
- Participating in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
- Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the state of employment
- Solid technical accounting knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Nice-to-haves
- Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing tax work
