About the position

The Associate Technical Product Manager at YAGEO / KEMET is responsible for managing multiple product lines with a focus on technical marketing. This role involves collaboration with various teams including Product Managers, Sales, and Field Application Engineers to understand customer applications and provide optimal solutions. The position also requires the individual to stay updated on technological trends and contribute to product roadmaps, while sharing knowledge through training and content creation.

Responsibilities

• Leads product design, development, and product launch process for assigned products.
• Drives the phase gate process and collaborates with Direct Opportunities, interfacing with CIC, NPI, PE, and Operations as necessary.
• Understand applications relating to Wide Bandgap Semiconductors (WBG) wireless power transfer circuits, and resonant power converters.
• Serves as primary product technical expert for assigned products and supports customer technical requests.
• Maintains and continuously improves the product roadmap.
• Supports Product Managers, Sales, FAEs, and channel partners by developing and maintaining technical marketing tools including datasheets, application notes, FAQs, field training presentations, competitive cross-references, and online marketing content.
• Develops in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintains technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses.
• Reports on new product development and marketing trends to the applicable functions within the company.
• Provides technical training on new products and technology to FAEs, customers, and sales personnel.
• Defines, develops & delivers critical tools for internal and external customers assisting in design-in.
• Participates in industry events, tradeshows, and customer events.
• Travels to key customers supporting design-in activities.
