As a Technical Project Manager at Pearson, you will play a pivotal role in the Assessment Operations Group, which is dedicated to supporting state programs and technical initiatives. This position involves managing various projects, including software development, information technology, and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for analyzing business processes and workflows, identifying high-level business requirements, and developing comprehensive project schedules. Your role will be crucial in ensuring successful project implementation, adhering to Agile methodologies for both development and testing phases. You will engage with partners at all levels and oversee the entire project life cycle, from initial planning through to project closure. In this part-time, contract position, you will work an agreed schedule of 4 hours each weekday, totaling 20 hours per week, until July 15, 2025. Your primary responsibilities will include managing software development and business process analysis projects that involve cross-functional teams focused on delivering products or services. You will develop and maintain project charters, detailed work plans, schedules, status reports, and risk registers tailored to the scope and complexity of each project. Tracking the execution of projects and providing leadership to ensure successful delivery while focusing on cost, schedule, scope, quality, and communication will be key aspects of your role. You will also coordinate the efforts of all cross-functional team members, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring effective communication across all areas. Performing project risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation plans will be essential, as will documenting high-level business requirements as needed. This role requires a proactive approach to project management and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a dynamic environment.
