ANSER is seeking an Associate Technical Writer/Graphic Designer to assist the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The OCIO is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive, DHS-wide Information Technology (IT) infrastructure environment that is reliable, accessible, and secure. This role is crucial in ensuring operational excellence across various platforms, from workstations to data centers and mission applications. The Associate Technical Writer/Graphic Designer will play a key role in drafting, editing, and producing highly technical publications that support the mission of the DHS. This position requires a blend of technical writing and graphic design skills to effectively communicate complex information in a clear and visually appealing manner. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality graphics, including flowcharts and process charts, which will be included in various DHS publications, briefings, and presentations. The position also involves providing one-on-one consultations to assess and interpret visual needs, applying design principles to create succinct visual representations that support the Visual Analytic mission. The Associate Technical Writer/Graphic Designer will establish proposed timelines for creative materials, ensuring that management and client expectations are met. Additionally, the role includes managing all aspects of producing visual information for both print and online uses, which encompasses the design, creation, and preparation of support visuals.
