About the position

The Associate Technical Writing Specialist will support the development and creation of accurate operator's manuals and other user-facing technical documentation for Advanced Patient Monitoring devices. This role involves collaboration with subject matter experts and senior technical writers to ensure high-quality documentation that meets established guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and Sr. Technical Writers to author transfer of content from Framemaker into a DITA-XML based CMS platform.
• Review received translations against English master for visual accuracy.
• Review the GUI text strings against the database and verify the screen shots for each translated Operator's Manual.
• Assist in the maintenance of documentation in a standard format following established guidelines.
• Review documents for style, clarity, grammar, and punctuation.
• Under guidance of a Sr. Technical writer, edit and create simple operator's manuals and other user-facing technical documentation such as Service Manuals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree & 0-2 years of experience required.
• Experience in XMetal or other DITA-XML based Content Management System (CMS) programs highly preferred.
• Ability to use Framemaker and SQL database is highly preferred.
• Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
• Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams.
