At Amwins, we win together — and have a good time doing it. Join our Access team as an Associate Underwriter in Irvine, CA! This position is in-office, with a hybrid schedule once training is complete. Pursuant to California regulation, the salary range for this position is $66,560 and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses. Each Associate Underwriter provides vital team functions: Review submissions information required to issue new or renewal quotes, rate and prepare new or renewal quotes as directed by Underwriter, review and handle inspection recommendations and discrepancies, monitor various reports for consistency, and assist in accounting procedures such as invoicing. The role also includes data entry into multiple internet-based systems.

Responsibilities

  • Review submissions information required to issue new or renewal quotes
  • Rate and prepare new or renewal quotes as directed by Underwriter
  • Review and handle inspection recommendations and discrepancies
  • Monitor various reports for consistency
  • Assist in accounting procedures such as invoicing
  • Data entry into multiple internet-based systems

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Personal Lines insurance
  • Excellent computer skills including typing proficiency
  • Microsoft Office proficiency with an emphasis in Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High-level of motivation
  • Ability to prioritize important and pressing tasks
  • Innate organizational skills, willingness to take on challenges, and focus on personal responsibility
