About the position

The Associate Underwriter position is designed for candidates seeking growth opportunities within a dynamic organization. This role is part of the Early Career Program, specifically the Underwriting Track, which provides a one-year training program for ambitious college graduates aiming to build a successful career in underwriting. Associates will receive ongoing training and development in underwriting practices, financial analysis, and client servicing, positioning them for career advancement and industry certifications.

Responsibilities

• Market Arch products and services to wholesale and retail brokers
• Underwrite and price products, including financial analysis and exposure analysis
• Review and rate policy contracts
• Conduct claims reviews
• Bind new and renewal accounts according to underwriting philosophy and strategy
• Service brokers and customers

Requirements

• Four-year degree, preferably in economics, business, finance, or risk management
• Highly proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Exemplary oral and written communication skills
• Analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial statements
• Proactive with strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Strong work ethic and team player
• Exhibits leadership potential
