About the position

The Associate Vice President of Community-Based Programs and Food is responsible for overseeing all community-based programming across Cook and Lake counties, focusing on food access programs and services. This role involves operational oversight of community centers, parish-based ministries, mobile response units, community meals, and senior meal delivery. The position requires strong partnership cultivation and cross-functional collaboration to address client needs and enhance community engagement through volunteer staffing and various programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all community-based programming across Cook and Lake counties, including food access programs and services.
• Manage operations of community centers, parish-based ministries, mobile response units, community meals, and senior meal delivery.
• Cultivate partnerships and collaborate cross-functionally to meet immediate client needs.
• Lead multiple teams towards shared goals, coaching and developing team members.
• Partner closely with Mission Engagement on volunteer service and staffing.
• Collaborate with the Rapid Response team and Charities Hub on client-facing programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (minimum requirement).
• 5 years of leadership experience in human services or a related field (minimum requirement).
