About the position

The AVP of Infrastructure Platforms and Systems at Fisher Investments leads a geographically dispersed team to support the overall strategy for the firm's infrastructure environments. This role involves guiding teams to ensure successful project implementation, collaborating with various stakeholders, and contributing to governance and operational standards for new solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the mission for the Infrastructure Platforms and System Operations functions according to the overall technology strategy.
  • Balance conflicting resource demands and internal pressures with a focus on priorities.
  • Demonstrate continual focus on efficiency, effectiveness, and quality to ensure successful implementations that meet business priorities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of governance and standards for new implementations and releases.
  • Ensure efficient collection and distribution of status and issue resolution information to appropriate customers and partners.
  • Mentor other leaders and support team growth, including career and succession planning.
  • Lead by example in representing the Infrastructure and Operations organization to work toward excellence in delivery and customer service.

Requirements

  • 10+ years IT leadership experience.
  • Experience in infrastructure and systems management.
  • Strong technical skills in server administration, cloud computing, virtualization, and infrastructure as code.
  • Strong collaborative approach to delivering services across technology teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing service delivery, improvement, and project optimization efforts.
  • Demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational programs in globally distributed environments.
  • Experience with strategic planning, organizational design, and development.
  • Strong relationship management and ability to influence change.
