About the position

The Associate Vice President, People & Culture is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for leading the vision, strategy, development, and execution of organizational effectiveness and talent management programs. This role focuses on enhancing the workplace culture, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, and addressing future talent needs through effective change management and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide human capital management leadership to organization-wide initiatives related to business process redesign and change management.
  • Catalyze organizational performance by linking strategy to structure and facilitating complex organizational issues.
  • Collaborate with peers to develop and integrate workforce planning, talent acquisition, learning and development, and performance management.
  • Lead employee engagement and retention initiatives to enhance organizational performance.
  • Influence decision-making with relevant metrics and analyze reports to support strategic objectives.
  • Oversee talent acquisition and retention strategies, including diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Design and implement integrated talent management solutions, including executive coaching and succession planning.
  • Develop and monitor strategies for maintaining a healthy workplace culture, including employee communications and engagement.
  • Design and manage salary structures and incentive programs to align with strategic goals.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking and market analyses for competitive compensation and benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive human capital management experience at an international non-profit or NGO.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a significant senior management role, resolving complex employee relations issues globally.
  • Strong understanding of global engagements and DEI initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic human resources leadership across the organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of human resources principles and practices, including talent management and labor relations.
  • Proven track record of advancing corporate culture and leading change management initiatives.
  • Ability to conceptualize, lead, implement, and monitor human resources-related programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Human Resources Certification(s) strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing employees in multiple locations and countries.
