About the position

The Associate Videographer is responsible for helping create engaging, on brand, conversion focused product videos for Finish Line and JD Sports US digital properties. This position plays a role in the video production process from start to finish, including pre-production, shooting, editing, and post-production. The role requires producing high quality, well-lit, well-composed, compelling and creative content in line with brand guidelines, editing photo and video content in appropriate post-production software, and consistently meeting deadlines and production metrics within a fast-paced environment to ensure a successful shoot. Additionally, the Associate Videographer will operate and maintain cameras, gimbals, audio recording devices, lighting, and editing technology, and will be responsible for complying with all studio internal processes. The position also involves publishing video and audio files after review, assisting in the maintenance and organization of the video studio, gear, and production supplies, and staying current on ecommerce, video and photography trends including global and consumer trends, assessing and communicating their potential impact to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high quality, well-lit, well-composed, compelling and creative content in line with brand guidelines.
  • Edit photo and video content in appropriate post-production software.
  • Consistently meet deadlines and production metrics within a fast paced environment to ensure a successful shoot.
  • Operate and maintain cameras, gimbals, audio recording devices, lighting, and editing technology.
  • Problem solve lighting and imaging needs as needed.
  • Comply with all studio internal processes.
  • Publish video and audio files after review.
  • Assist in the maintenance and organization of the video studio, gear, and production supplies.
  • Stay current on ecommerce, video and photography trends including global and consumer trends.
  • Work in a creative, fast paced environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in photography/film plus 1-3 years professional work experience.
  • Advanced expertise working with Canon professional video camera equipment (or equivalent).
  • Working knowledge of video lighting techniques.
  • Experience operating and balancing gimbals.
  • Expert proficiency in all aspects of video editing, including knowledge and experience working with various frame rates, use of slow motion and speed ramping, and editing and transcoding videos for online media.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Fluency in both Mac and PC operating systems.
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external individuals at all levels.
