About the position

The Associate Virtual Production Stage Operator at Arthrex is responsible for producing high-quality video content in a virtual production studio environment, primarily for medical education and corporate messaging. This role involves collaborating with Media Production specialists to manage projects, set up environments on an LED volume, and ensure smooth production workflows through technical support and data management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of the virtual production stage including LED walls, motion capture systems, and camera tracking technology.
• Provide technical support during shoots, troubleshooting hardware and software issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production workflows.
• Work closely with directors, producers, VFX supervisors, and other crew members to understand creative goals and translate them into technical requirements.
• Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring proper file storage, version control, and data backup procedures are followed.
• Monitor and maintain the quality of real-time rendering and virtual environments, ensuring visual fidelity and performance standards are met.
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in the operation of stage equipment and during production activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Computer Science, Animation, or a related field, or High school diploma plus equivalent work experience is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in virtual production, VFX, or a similar field is required.
• Proficiency with virtual production tools and software, including Unreal Engine, Unity, motion capture systems, and real-time rendering technology.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly resolve technical issues in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high production standards.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office product, Adobe Suite and Unreal Engine.
